Workshop 1: The Art of DJ'ing with DJ Power

DJ POWER Award winning DJ and producer is a master at pleasing crowds worldwide with his productions, remixes and open format DJ style. He gained critical acclaim for his Soul Controllers mashup cd compilations and was presented with a Justo’s Award in NYC. His projects have featured guest appearances by artists such as Sean Paul, 50 Cent, Wyclef, Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire, Machel Montano, Vybz Kartel and many more. His productions have been featured in the NY TIMES, Complex mag, Fader, Inthemix.com, Hypetrack etc. and he has produced tracks played by djs worldwide including his recent track with Walshy Fire (Major Lazer) “Skyrocket”, Mims platinum “Why I’m Hot” remix, Knaan’s World Cup Anthem “Waving Flag”, “Bang Bang” feat. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and “Right There” Nicole Scherzinger ft. 50 cent. His single and video “Fly So High” with Machel Montano and Kardinal Offishall has been featured on MTV, VH1, Muchmusic, Tempo, Top 10 on BPM tv and over 95 tv outlets worldwide. His EDM dancehall single “Makeup” with Vybz Kartel was premiered by Complex mag earlier this year and was the #2 downloaded song on #1 dj site whitelable.net.

Workshop 2: Graffiti Art with Danilo

Danilo McCallum is a Toronto based visual artist. He works professionally as a painter, videographer, illustrator, graphic designer, muralist and art mentor. A product of the city, the characters depicted in McCallum's work reflect a diverse landscape of people. A graduate of Ontario College of Art and Design, McCallum majored in illustration and also studied graphic design and painting. He has exhibited and curated several group exhibitions. Heavily influenced by Sacred Hip Hop and graffiti art in his youth, his mural work can be found across Toronto. Danilo's exploration of futuristic themes in his personal work evolved into the becoming the curator of Black Future Month an Annual Afrofuturism Art Exhibition, creating opportunities for artists to express their visions of Black people in the distant future.
